Arto and Viita-aho founded the Viita-aho Factory in Lappajärvi in 1973.

Fourty years later the factory is still in Lappajärvi, where we carry on the legacy of our parents. We firmly believe that each one of our rugs makes the world a tiny bit better place in which to live.

Back in the old days, rugs werde woven for a specific place and purpose. At our rug factory, we still hold on to that tradition. We have quite a selection but we still make rugs according to the shape and size of your choosing. The majority of our rugs also feature a non-slip underside, which adds safety and comfort.

We pay a great deal of attention to each rug and choose the materials very carefully. And, it goes without saying, every single rug is carefully finished and inspected before shipping.
